Description
A Ligura tomato, Albenga type. Also known as Coeur d’Albenga. This tomato is often referred to in supermarkets as ‘Coeur de Boeuf’ or Oxheart tomato. Liguria however doesn’t look like an oxheart, but more like a puffy and heavily wrinkled pear. They are more hollow inside and contain more seeds, but they are much more productive. The original Coeur de Boeuf is more suitable for slicing. Both tomatoes have an excellent sweet flavour and are have a soft texture.
