Description
Guindilla Amarilla or Guindilla Yellow originates from the Basque region of Spain. 'Guindilla' means 'chili' or 'hot pepper' in Spanish. They are also known as piparras when pickled. The plant has narrow, long greenish-yellow fruits which mature to red. They grow up to 4 to 10 centimeters in length and have a mild heat that most people can enjoy. That makes this chili pepper perfect for pickling, for instance in white wine vinegar, served as tapas or as a side dish with wine and cheese, also great with shoarma. Pickling is mostly done in the immature green-yellow stage. Guindillas are among the most popular peppers in Spain.
